Marsha and I have been really bad about posting for the last month or so. As such, I'll try to fill people in with some doings and anecotes in the next day or two.
1. We've been filled with Purim stuff for the last couple of days. Sunday was the purmin Carnival at Synagogue. Monday night was Purim and Wednesday was the Purim Parade at the J. (I'm not sure why Purim at the J was on Wednesday and not Tuesday - either Mr. Stew the music teacher isn't there on Tuesday's or the kids who are there part-time are only there on M, W & Fri or something - I never got a complete answer). In any case, Rafi was a firefighter which was nice as he just wore dress up clothes that we already had. He seemed to like it especially the plastic axe. Sam was Eeyor and while he wore the costume some, he liked it better when he got to carry it around and shout "EEOH"
2. Sam's vocabulary seems to be exploding. Certainly in his mind he has a full vocabulary. To the Marsha and I, he seems to hvae a lot more words all of a sudden. Unlike Rafi, we aren't counting all of this words. We have good, buckle, chair, cheese, out, go, guitar, baseball and many more.
3. In other amusing Sam speak, he won't say "Rafi". If you point at Rafi and ask what's his name? you get "brotha". No amount of coaxing will get him to say Rafi.
4. Moo Baa La La is Sam's new favorite book although he pronounces it "yaya". It is a changing table favorite and Marsha can recite it from memory as Sam holds it. I'm not that smart. I keep mixing up pages. Dora is also a new favorite book of Sam's. He seems to pronounce it "DoDa" or "Doah". I think he likes it as he likes to point at the guitar - a word which he can say pretty clearly. He also likes the picture of Dora playing soccer and Boots playing baseball.
5. Both kids are really good at puzzles - Rafi has done more and more complex puzzles almost all by himself. His latest is a US state puzzle that has about 60 pieces. (Each state is not its own piece). Sam also likes puzzles and although he is on the fit the shape kind he can do most of it by himself.
